DS2000+ HIPAA Master Data Sets and Handbooks

The DS2000+ HIPAA Master Data Sets contain detailed information on the data required for the relevant HIPAA transaction and the Handbooks provide the same information but in a simplified, more user-friendly format.

Both documents begin with a cover page that describes the purpose and nature of the particular transaction and conclude with definitions of key terms used in the transaction. The Handbook also contains a data checklist of all the information needed to complete the transaction, in the order required by the transaction. Two different formats for the checklist are presented, one in the Benefit and Enrollment (834) and the other in the Health Care Claims Professional (837) transaction Handbooks.
