PROJECT SUMMARY
Arizona is advanced in the development and use of performance indicators and in the building of information systems to support this endeavor. Recent developments have included efforts to integrate various sets of performance indicators and to include stakeholder involvement in the process, particularly as it relates to internal performance indicators derived from the statewide strategic planning process. The State Indicator Pilot grant will allow Arizona to incorporate the required indicators with the internal BHS indicators, the indicators associated with the Community Mental Health Block Plan, and those from the MHSIP Consumer-Oriented Mental Health Report Card to realize the vision of a single comprehensive set of performance indicators. The project funds will be used for the purpose of comparative analysis, refinement and implementation of the selected indicators through an organized process with extensive stakeholder involvement. The project will be closely coordinated with the current performance indicator activities and the activities of the State planner to ensure integration into the overall planning process.
