PROJECT SUMMARY

The scope and long term goal of the Washington Performance Indicator Project is to connect the current work of the Mental Health Division in its role as the State Mental Health Authority with the regional public mental health authorities in their roles as Managed Care Organizations or Prepaid Health Plans (RSN/PHPs) around further defining and implementing outcome research and performance indicators in service of understanding and meeting the needs of individuals eligible for and receiving publicly funded mental health services. The three-year process will involve examining and incorporating core values of the Mental Health Division in the service of consumers with the current quality indicators and outcomes devised and in contract with Regional Support Networks, or those being developed with RSN/PHP input. This planning process would involve reaching out to and hearing from the RSN/PHPs, consumer groups, and the support and advocacy community.
