| Our MHSIP mission:
to foster and enhance the quality and scope of information for decisions that will improve
the quality of life and recovery of people with mental illness. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Following are web resources recommended by Ms
Joyce Boaz,
Director, The Gateway to PTSD Information (www.ptsdinfo.org) is a gateway to four nonprofit sites that offer PTSD information and resources. Four national and international organizations are here to help, with articles, references, web-links, mini-courses, 800 phone access and e-mail pen-pal resources. This site is listed on the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services website. This site is the brainchild of Frank Ochberg a psychiatrist and the former Associate Director of the National Institute of Mental Health and a member of the team that wrote the medical definition for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. He was the editor of America's first PSTD treatment text.

Quality Released
Findings and lessons
learned are reported as they relate to four research questions.
The University of Massachusetts Center for Health Policy and Research (CHPR)
would like to thank the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health (DMH)
for their permission to disseminate this report on behavioral health
quality measurement and reporting systems via the MHSIP website. CHPR
took the initial work, conducted on behalf of DMH, one step further by
developing a 5-10 year high-level implementation plan or roadmap, which
is also included in this report. Any questions or comments on the report

The Mental Health Statistics Improvement Program (MHSIP) was developed to improve the quality of decision making for all mental health stakeholders through guidance and technical assistance on the design, structure, content, and use of mental health information systems. MHSIP provides uniform, comparable statistical information about mental health services to enable broad-based research on systems of care and models for service delivery MHSIP is the only program in the Nation focusing on the need for and development of data standards for high-quality statistical information on mental health services Development of the MHSIP website was funded in part by a grant from the Center for Mental Health Servicesces
